But the plot of that movie is that Steve Carell's character is getting a divorce and going to start dating again so Ryan Gosling (whose character is considered a "player" who dates successfully but never settles down) helps him get ready for that.

Doug Emhoff is not on the dating market. He's not trying to impress women or get them into bed with him. He's not trying to rebuild his confidence after a divorce. He's not struggling. He's already living his best life which includes being the First Gentleman to a confident and successful political wife and spending time with his adult kids who seem pretty happy and well adjusted. He doesn't need a "glow up." He's doing great. All is as it should be.[/quote]
