OP here. here is some of the lab results I got back. I am going back to urgent care doctor to discuss results and hopefully then get on some medication and see a specialist. These were flagged as abnormal: Creatinine 0.45 MCH L 33.1 H Total T3 70.5 L And then the other 2 thyroid tests which were surprisingly in range: TSH: 1.430 Total t4: 5.8
This, plus your missing period, and your level of attention to your calorie intake make me think tour diet is likely the source of the low t3. Low term low calorie diets do this: https://azdietitians.com/blog/extended-low-calorie-diets-and-thyroid-dysfunction/
Op here, yes in for about 2 months I would eat 1k cals 2 days out of the week and my usual maintenance of 2k the other days. However, I stopped that over 1 month ago. A week after I stopped doing that, I ended up gaining this weight I am experiencing now. It’s weird as before I started this semi-cal restriction I was able to maintain my weight on 2k cals. I guess my metabolism slowed hence my symptoms. How am I supposed to speed it up without gaining more weight? I reverse dieted last year and it worked but don’t think I should increase cals even more since I’m gaining .5 lbs on scale every day.
So how many pounds have you gained now?
About 4 pounds since I stopped doing the 1k cals two days a week routine
That was over a month ago…hardly a half pound of gained weight daily.
