These private universities offer EA and are ranked in the top 100. I consider the top 100 “highly rated,” but everyone has differing opinions.

I don’t think much is given up by not applying this list of schools EA, especially by kids who truly have Ivy caliber stats.  UChicago offers ED2 and as has already been pointed out, USC has a lower acceptance rate for EA than RD.[/quote]
DP. To clarify, it is perfectly acceptable to apply REA to ND and Georgetown as well as any of the above EA options at the same time. OP's kid is looking for such options. No one is giving anything up.[/quote]
