We weren’t willing to work with someone who would accept less (We were paying a living wage for our area, but nothing egregious), and we couldn’t afford more. I scaled back my hours, which was only possible because I’m an exemplary employee. When I was working full time, it was a hurricane. I did not have time for hobbies unless I let the house go. My kids are elementary age, so ymmv. [/quote]
