Can you use the Leg Press and Leg Extension Machines? Your back is supported in both of them. High Incline Walking on Treadmill or Hills
Yes, I definitely use those. The problem is they they're too easy. It's just not the same intensity as doing barbell squats. I suppose it is what it is and I'll just have to live with it.
There is no way. You’re telling us you’be MAXED OUT the weights on these machines with perfect form to the degree they’re “too easy”? No. Not that AND you don’t have the ability to do barbell squats.
I can quite literally do 4x10 sets of 350 kg on the leg press sled machine. I mean sure, I could keep adding more and more plates, but do you know how fun it is to load and unload 20 plates from the thing? Leg press is so, sooo much easier than a barbell squat. I know if I were to try a barbell squat there's no way I could come remotely close to even 200 KG. Yes, leg press machines and curling machines are much easier than the barbell squat. I'm just looking for something to keep the legs strong with more efficiency since I have to hang up my barbell squatting days due to multiple spinal injuries.
Whine less, lift more. If you have to add more plates, deal therewith. You can. Look for what you can do and be grateful instead of whinging on DCUM about how it's not "fun" to load more plates so you can go harder on a machine. You need to beef up your emotional fortitude far more than your legs.
