Beer: I’m no longer ashamed to admit I like simple domestic mass produced light beer, served cold.

Grass/yard: I don’t give a sh!t about having a super perfect lawn anymore because all the chemical crap that has to put on it. I’m fine with my short, weedy grass.

Hair: I don’t need to spend $175 every few weeks on something as stupid as hair. I pill it back, wrap a tie or scrunchie around it, and go on with life.

Running: I thought running was stupid. Now I really enjoy it.

Put Bulls: used to hate them, now I have one. She’s the sweetest dog I’ve ever known.

Minivans: swore I’d never own one. Absolutely love my Sienna.

I’m a totally different (and much better) person at 41 than I was at 25. I cringe looking back at what I used to be like, even though back then I was a lot closer to ideals of what popular culture said was ideal for women to look, act and think like.
