It’s not insulting at all. These are two of the candidates that Americans actually voted for in the two parties’ primaries. I didn’t vote for either of the two main candidates in the primary. I will vote for one of them in the general because one of them will win. My husband will vote for a candidate that will lose. This is our electoral process in action.
So you're voting for the person you think will win instead of the person you think has the best ideas, because that person is unlikely to win in our rigged system, and you think this is normal, functioning democracy?
Yes. It is. The data backs this up. 80% of Americans think that Biden and Trump are too old for the job, yet both won their respective primaries, Biden with a resounding victory even greater than Trump’s. That ended just a few weeks ago. I believe that the election results are accurate and any irregularities are so small as to not affect the outcome, if there are any at all. You think otherwise?
Yes I think otherwise. I think you're blind to the reality that you're not making a real choice. You're choosing from the least terrible options presented to you by the establishment. You aren't voting for what you want, you're voting against what you don't want. It's obviously dysfunctional, yet you're defending it. You can't see that it's rigged? That you have only the illusion of choice in the matter?
I already voted for who I supported. They lost. Fair and square. Not rigged.
