I am a teacher.  This is the logical conclusion.

Unlimited retakes is not going to happen. Just dumb down the test and viola happy kids and parents and principals.

Maybe make it an option to take some tests for a grade since half the kids don't seem to even want to learn the material. Instead of dumbing down just offer extra credit for those who care.[/quote]

The point of the class is to learn the material. If the student takes a test, and this shows they don’t know the material, then they go back and learn it and pass the test the next time, their grade should reflect that.[/quote]
