Get rid of MS advisory. Waste of time. More time for students to be on phones. No one gives a dhit about social emotional learning when it doesn't work for this age group. Teachers don't care to administer SEL lessons.
+1 Our school did it three times a week - and it was just video game playing time.
Our MS has it daily for 27 minutes and it’s torture for the students and adults. It’s a fight to get the kids that are missing work to go to the teachers that have requested them during this time and it’s tough to get the rest of the students to do anything other than mess around on their Chromebooks or skip altogether. Would rather they extend elective periods and pull out the kids missing work then. Or even pull them out during lunch! That will motivate more kids to turn stuff in on time and do their best the first time on an assessment.
