I would happily endorse and contribute to a pay package in excess of $100K provided teachers are held accountable for student achievement and success.  Developing metrics both parents and teachers can agree to with provisions to reclaim expenditures for failure in achievement seems like the right direction.  Otherwise it's like throwing money into a bottomless pit.[/quote]
It is not the teachers fault schools are closed for summer vacation. So obviously they need an annual wage like everyone else. We are not talking about seasonal farm workers.

With regards to performance based pay, are you also suggesting special education and achools for the kids with disabilities, currently they are made to attend normal school.
And will the teachers be allowed to refuse to teach some students?
Or will the schools have the resources they need to meet the needs of all the students?
I mean, will all the schools be able to offer advanced math, fles, language immersion, remedial math, etc[/quote]
