I'm not smug.  I just can't understand why people delight in being nasty.  It's like those commercials where people are nice and one good deed begets another.  I think ugliness does the same in reverse and I just don't get it.  And I can't understand the spiritual and emotional makeup of a person who willingly engages in such nastiness, but honestly it makes me kind of sad for them.  I don't think that makes me smug.  I think there is something really sad and broken in a person who is like that day in and day out.  [/quote]
