Not everyone uses pensions/SS and childless people are more likely to be and to save to support themselves in retirement without government aid. I have two aunts who are childfree by choice and they’re both the best set up for retirement/elder care of their siblings and will probably end up leaving money to their nieces and nephews when they die. It’s the parents that will be relying on government benefits for their heath care.[/quote]
