Biden's mental acuity is fine. The GOP keeps lowering the bar and each time, Biden knocks it out of the park.
Who are you? I'm asking because when I see posts like yours I scratch my head. In the first place, the Republicans aren't capable or creative enough to figure out how to persistently and relentlessly create fake/AI/selectively edited clips of Biden behaving like a very elderly man with rapidly advancing decline. You're giving the Republicans way too much credit here. Because the reality is that all these clips are real. The "edits" are brief cuts but even those brief cuts show the same story over and over again, this is a man in his declining years. The group clip with the other G7 leaders was the worst one of them all because it shows the enormous gap between Biden and his fellow world leaders. Just *look* at it. And be honest. And these clips show the same issue over and over again that nobody else has, not Nancy Pelosi, not Donald Trump, not Schumer, not any of the too old to still be in politics political figures. The Democrats have a real problem on their hands. The debate is irrelevant, it's not going to change any votes. I'm sure Biden will be pumped filled with medicine to keep him alert one last time. However he performs at the debates, I guarantee you within a few days there will be yet another one of these clips of Biden in public fading out in front of everyone. The reality is Biden is old. His transition from old to very old is accelerating rapidly and, apparently, faster than expected. There is definitely one way for Biden to prove all of us wrong. Engage with the public. Have lots of interviews, speak frank and candidly, warm up the crowd, you know, like younger politician and dare I even say it, Donald Trump. But he can't. And we all know why.
[twitter]https://x.com/brianbeutler/status/1802739093173915903[/twitter] NY Post was already busted and Sinclair is also busted. Maybe get your news from somwhere that is actually news and not political entertainment.
You are quoting some guys substack? That’s just his opinion. And he says “cheapfake?” wtf is that? It’s called “deepfake” and nobody is deepfaking Biden. Mainstream news orgs are releasing the videos of Biden and they are real. Nice way to spread disinformation and misinformation.
Amazing, in their attempt to deny that they are easily manipulated by misinformation this person has demonstrated exactly why they are continuously manipulated by misinformation. They saw a word they didn't recognize, "cheapfake," and instead of looking it up they just assumed it must be an incorrect usage of a word they DO understand, "deepfake," because that interpretation conforms to their preconceived worldview - that these manipulated Biden videos are accurate representations. They avoided the cognitive dissonance of realizing that they have been hoodwinked by selectively edited videos and actually reinforced their incorrect worldview by inventing for themselves a false scenario - that the person they replied to thinks that the selectively edited videos of Biden are "deepfaked," and since that is not true, then clearly that person is wrong and they are right. Here's the problem, you just made all of that up. "Cheapfake" as it was used by the person you responded to is a different word than "Deepfake." While a deepfake is a computer generated image of a person doing or something something they didn't, a "cheapfake" is using selective editing of things a person actually did or said to make them appear to have done or said something that they didn't. For a humorous and exaggerated example look at this Simpsons clip: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_8uM0zOBuSw Sure, Homer actually said all of those individual words, but was obviously innocent of what that cheapfake supposedly "proved." The person you replied to was entirely correct. Manipulated videos of Biden are incorrectly depicting him as mentally unsound. You were so unwilling to believe something that went against your worldview you denied factual information and made up something instead that was more comfortable for you to believe. This is something you have undoubtedly done to yourself many times before and is the reason you can't extricate yourself from the Trump cult. You see him saying something despicable (like when he said he would become a dictator on day one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aX0iAmz9iLM) and tell yourself "surely what he ACTUALLY meant was..." or "He was just joking about..." You hear him be completely unable to form a coherent sentence on something that is a basic and necessary part of being the President (for example when he was asked what the nuclear triad is: https://www.cnn.com/videos/politics/2015/12/17/what-is-nuclear-triad-debate-sot.cnn) and you tell yourself he answered the question because it's more comfortable than admitting you support a President who has zero moral compass and is dangerously incurious and outright unintelligent. I sincerely hope that one day you can undo the manipulation that has been wrought on you. Unfortunately the only way that will happen is if you admit to yourself that you have been wrong. That you have believed obviously incorrect things, that you were too ignorant to separate truth from fiction. It's going to be painful but ultimately for the best.
