Are they doing water testing? Is the lake providing any advice or just letting folks figure this out on there own? I grew up in an area with a popular natural swim spot. They did regular water testing and shut down on occasion. I am not understanding why the state doesn't seem to be providing more guidance on this.
Well, it was on the news. That is pretty transparent
Oh! I am not saying it is not transparent. But I assume that is the families making the announcement not the state. I think its weird that there is nothing on the website (or wasn't when I posted this morning). Just seems like there should be some official announcement regarding water status and when it is safe to swim again.
It’s not the state’s jurisdiction, it’s the municipality’s but aside from that I agree. I live in a hot southern city with a lot of lakes and testing is done on the regular, and signs are posted accordingly. Something happened awhile back where some dogs died and they made it a crime to go in the water until they found the root cause and treated it. The fact that Lake Anna officials are saying there is no evidence of E. coli is wild.
