The far right doesn't like Jews any more than the far left does, and mainstream conservatives' philosemitism sometimes only LOOKS less problematic than the left's sneers about "Zios" are. Most American Jews agree more on other political matters with the left than they do with the right. Would be great if there were a liberal Zionist political party in the U.S., which until relatively recently, there was (the Democrats)...[/quote]

The bizarro part is that no one is left in the sensible center. That's actually what's really dangerous for Jews. Our safety depends upon societal stability. When people are angry about anything, their anger gets directed toward Jews and then the cultural tidal wave declares that it is a virtue to make us pay for whatever sins are attributed to us.

Note all the people claiming that every struggle is connected. The connection is pretty forced, but it is a way to rationalize classic antisemitic scapegoating. [/quote]
