Excludes jewish kids and kids with food allergies.
OP here and this is an honest question... why it excludes Jewish kids? Sorry I'm not familiar with Jewish customs. And DC has gluten and milk protein allergy so we'll be very accommodating. My next thread will be "what do you think about the wording on this invitation" where I'll ask parents to RSVP with info on allergies. But thanks for the heads up.
OP, Jewish Sabbath starts Friday night at sundown and ends Saturday at sundown. An observant Jewish family would not attend a Saturday event. Not all Jewish families are observant (there are degrees of observance that people adhere to depending on their upbringing and comfort level). Many will go to Saturday events, many will not. If your preschool had a number of observant Jewish families then a Saturday event would seem to be excluding a group of people. You would, I would assume, be aware of this. I'm going to assume your school is a mix of families. In that case I would host on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon (so as not to interfere with shul or church).
