If 2+2 = 4, then 2+3 will have to be one more than 4, because 3 is one more than two. 2+2 is called a "double" fact and 2+3 is called a "double plus 1" fact. You are supposed to be able to add +1 and +2 in your head, automatically. That's just "counting on"[/quote]
