Obviously the PP saw the blue on the map.  That is a big body of water adjacent to the attendance areas for Belle View, Waynewood, Fort Hunt, and then Washington Mill.  Grey area adjacent to the water is Fort Belvoir.  Scroll down and you have Gunston which haa an attendance area surrounded by big water on 3 sides.

Draft includes  "Reasonably allow for all students from the adjacent neighborhoods and
communities to attend a school, taking into consideration natural and
man-made barriers (eg major roads, geographic features)."

Major bodies of water and other jurisdictions certainly must be considered when drawing boundaries before adding adjacent neighborhoods that can go to other FCPS schools. [/quote]
