The fall up there is actually amazing. Better than here. I went to graduate school up there and loved going apple picking. The area around the city is quite beautiful if you like rolling hills. It is not far to the Adirondacks. It is also not far to go west to the Finger Lakes region. There are many beautiful places to go if you like hiking and the outdoors. But you do have to be prepared for long winters and lots of snow. I did not mind those things and found the area quite beautiful.[/quote]
