It's very woke. I'm honestly not sure if it's like Kenyon and some of the NESCACs where the athletes have their own bro culture that exists as kind of a separate entity within the larger woke campus culture. It's possible that schools like Carlton and Grinnell are so woke that it overpowers any efforts by the athletes to establish a more mainstream subculture. If I had an athlete kid looking at Carlton, I would implore him to spend a weekend there, preferably staying with a current student-athlete, so he could get a better read on the campus vibe.
Tell us you are stupid in the first sentence "woke" OP this post is garbage as usual from the MAGA dumb crowd. Carlton is a lovely school, smart intelligent kind kids for the most part. Your kid will find their peeps. If you are overly concerned about the social climate of a school then it is not the right place for your kid. And describing your kid as "normal" is weird. They are adults they are going to college to get a degree to get a job. Will Carlton have a courseload and major your kid likes? Does the career center have internships for that major or connections to jobs? Is the curriculum ie courseload what your young adult wants to study? Those are the ? you should be asking. It's a small school either your kid wants a small school or not.
So no athletes are woke? All this concern about athletes fitting in is funny. Especially at Carleton.
