What kind of dancing? DH and I are in our 50s and go to The Salsa Room in McLean. It's got plenty of space for dancing (Latin) - it's primarily a dance club and has 2 levels. I'm sure hook ups happen but even my 40+ single friends get asked to dance - and dance they do! It's not cheap though. You have to pay for everything, including water.
How easy (hard) would it be for a 48 years old guy who has zero rhythm to learn Salsa?
PP sorry for the delay. I wouldn't start with salsa, I'd do Bachata! The Salsa Room has free lessons starting at 8:15 (doors open at 8:00) on Fridays. Women get in for free before 11PM. Men have to pay $20. There are 2 lessons and you'll want to do both. I really encourage you to do it! There are usually more women than men (although not a huge difference) and bachata is very forgiving. Watch a few YouTube video and you can get the basics before you go. It's SO much fun! And, whatever you practice, you get better at! I didn't start dancing until my 30s, took a 20 year break and just recently started up again. I grew up 20 minutes from where Mike Pence is from so you can imagine how much rythym I came to the Club with.
New poster and thank you for this info
