I can see the difference. 
We currently have a true authoritarian in the WH.  He doesn't really care about the rule of law.  He has weaponized the agencies in govt and is going after his political opponents.  He encourages migrants to illegally enter our country.  He ignores the ruling of SCOTUS WRT student loans.  
This is the real threat to democracy.

I’m sick of right wingers’ taking whatever complaints the left has about them and using the same complaints about the left. Trump is an authoritarian with cognitive issues, so you say Biden is an authoritarian with cognitive issues. We referred to the Trump Crime Family, so you guys talk about the Biden Crime Family. I’m sick of the projection too. Trump is angry he couldn’t use the DOJ to do his bidding against political rivals so he accuses the DOJ of “lawfare” against him. He tried to steal an election, all the while claiming the other side was stealing the election. The side that is most vocal about voter fraud commits the most voter fraud. The cult members who worship a complete degenerate who has never done a selfless thing in his life think he’s toiling away on a secret plan to save children who are enslaved underground. I’m sick of the constant, blatant, absurd lies coming from one side, aimed at confusing or fatiguing low information voters until they tune out because both sides seem the same.
