I was bored and looked up every elementary school. Below are the four least diverse elementary schools in FCPS. Lynbrook is the least diverse, but Waynewood is the whitest. Lynbrook 85.5% Hispanic 8% Asian 3.8% Caucasian Graham Road 82.7% Hispanic 7% Caucasian 5% Black Waynewood 82.6% Caucasian 6% Hispanic 6.7% Other Hybla Valley 82% Hispanic 9.6% Black 4.5% Asian
Is that a good thing?
All you need to do is look at test scores to find out. Lynbrook: Math: 39% Reading: 36% Science: 50% Graham Road: Math: 45% Reading: 51% Science: 51% Waynewood: Math: 91% Reading: 92% Science: 82% Hybla Valley: Math: 39% Reading: 38% Science: 47%
The Waynewood scores are really low for a high-SES school, presumably because there are no Asian kids. If it was a majority Asian school, all of the scores would be in the high 90s. All this is telling me is that it's not as good of a school as you think it is.
