Arlington parent here and I think that sounds unusual. If it was a situation like PP was saying that the parents were unreliable, sure that could happen but they would probably give you a heads up first in one way or another.

I have, however, seen enough mistaken emails and missed deadlines that I would not rule out a mistake. If the decision truly feels like it came out of nowhere, definitely follow up. [/quote]

Kid is reliable and well behaved and practices/plays well, attends all practices and events, comes prepared and attentive. Kid at same level as teammates. Nobody on the team stands out as that much more skilled. This is not a bottom level team. Kid was cut to make room for new kids entering from outside ASA travel.[/quote]
