I don’t get on my phone at red lights, but I also DGAF if you honk at me after 1 second. I’m going to make sure the intersection is clear (or be certain that no pedestrians are crossing before I make a turn). I value my and my family’s life more than whether the person 4 cars back has to wait through another light cycle.

Also how can OP even see that the person 3 cars ahead of her is on their cell phone? Impatient drivers are just as much of a hazard as people looking at their phone. Leave your house earlier so you don’t have to be rushed and angry at intersections.[/quote]

Honest question. What on earth are you doing while waiting at a red light then?

You should be watching the road/intersection and still looking around while stopped on red. [b]So when the light turns green, you should ALREADY KNOW if it's safe to proceed. [/b]You do not need to wait unless there is already an active situation.

You should NOT be spacing out, applying makeup, on your phone.

Exactly! This is why I don't believe the people standing still at a green light are cautious or safe drivers. They are just checked out.[/quote]
