Senior students set it up and run it independently, posting whenever a student wants their information to be posted. My guess is that students started doing this to share with their friends and friends from other schools as they are excited about their next step. I doubt they were considering that they should be, closing specific information so that adults having nothing to do with the school could assess the quality of their acceptance and academic tracks.
