This post seems to have already triggered a potential bad actor pretending they were me. I want to responsibly rehome the dog and don’t have the resources or knowledge to background check strangers. He is not yet neutered at the advice of the vet to wait for him to be 9 months old and I don’t want someone turning him into a breeding dog.  I will speak to a rescue group on Monday and post their information to this thread. [/quote]

Absolutely false. Rescues are saving so many lives. And the background checks that the rescue I volunteered for does extensive background checks, including making phone calls to the person's vet. It is not "all a show."

Again, all that says nothing.  It’s all for show.  Homeward trails is the absolute worst money maker.  Look at their financials.  This dog has a home and just needs a new family.  Really a call to a vet takes five minutes.  And, it tells nothing.  [/quote

You mean had a home.  Op signed a contract so they are obligated to return the dog to the shelter.

Op you are probably going through puppy blues.  It happens to a lot of people.  If you can't stick with your commitment and try a little longer I hope you never adopt.  Sometimes things are hard and if you expect instant gratification than having a dog or cat might not be for you.[/quote]
