The only remaining financial incentive is that blue chip corporates are mostly still too risk averse to challenge their own internal DEI bombthrowers, so most counterparties and vendors still have to count all their Blacks and Gays and whatever else, then populate a little scorecard for every RFP. Because the corporate requires it. So you always need enough of each group around, plus a bevy of affinity groups and some charitable contributions you can point to to win business.
