Our old pool was a pretty small club and we couldn't even pay for private lessons online. You would email the instructors' manager and she would schedule your lessons, and then you would bring cash for the entire session to your first lesson.

Yes, it was unnerving to not have it confirmed and barely have anything in writing, but remember that a confirmation isn't magic. There are plenty of kids' activities we've signed up for through an actual portal with receipts and everything that were cancelled due to low enrollment, double booked, subject to schedule changes, overenrolled, etc.

The VERY worst that could possibly happen is that the lesson is double-booked when you arrive for week 1. And then you'll either get a discounted rate for shared lessons, you'll get an immediate refund, or they'll ask to accept credit for future lessons.

It will be ok. They'll open the office on Memorial Day weekend and someone will spend the weekend there getting everything ready for the season, and you'll get your receipt. Right now everything is going through a manager's laptop in their house or at their other job and they're more focused on hiring the last few lifeguards and instructors anyway.[/quote]
