You can't pretend to be a serious academic institution when your only method of evaluating applicants is GPA (and maybe rigor, but not really). SDSU is suspected of rank ordering applicants based on reported GPA, so if it's your dream school, find one of those 6.0 max. GPA schools and get to work. Shunning standardized testing, essays, and letters of recommendation simply means that you're backing up the truck for grade inflation zombies. Not sure how else to describe it, but it's a mixture of very good students and then the zombies that round out the class with high GPAs attained in low-competition schools.[/quote]
