Nope. I bring a book and barely watch. It's a game, it's for fun. I don't even want to be there and only go to the big games or whatever my kids ask me to attend. I don't care at all.
You should like my mom. I barely talk to her now. It was so obvious that she did not and does not care about our interests. Why did you even have kids and why even go to the games??
I love my kids. I just find watching them practice/play sports to be boring. I can watch them dance or do play rehearsals for hours on end no problem, and sports are not their whole lives - I have spent two hours helping them study for tests, run lines for play tryouts, do hairstyles, etc. I only go to the games when they ask, and it's mostly so I know who they're talking about at home, and understand what they're talking about.
That sounds sad, that you can only be interesting if it's your interest as well. My kids have all latched onto sports and activities that I know nothing about. But I'm always their biggest fan, in whatever they do. Not only if it happens to please me.
