I want to responsibly rehome the dog and don’t have the resources or knowledge to background check strangers. He is not yet neutered at the advice of the vet to wait for him to be 9 months old and I don’t want someone turning him into a breeding dog. I will speak to a rescue group on Monday and post their information to this thread. [/quote] They don’t do real background checks. You can neuter him now. Rescues are selling the dogs. They speak to a family, maybe go out once and that’s it. It’s all a show. Why do you think so many dogs get returned.
