I used to read a lot (was even a double English and political science major) and then didn’t for ages. A few things have gotten me back into reading: - embracing audiobooks (listen to a LOT when doing chores) - reading “on the page” at least 5 mins a day and tracking it (I use Bookly) so my streaks seem like a game. Even 5 mins adds up! - with a few exceptions, only reading things that I’ve really wanted to read or that come recommended by 3 or empire people. I just finished listening to “Someone Else’s Shoes” (which I learned about on this forum) and think it might fit what you’re looking for. Last year I read “In a New York Minute” and “Book Lovers” and think you may enjoy both.
+1, I also just finished this book (although I read it, I didn't listen to it) based on recommendations on here and it sounds right up your alley. I also listened to Very Sincerely Yours, so other books along those lines include: The Unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren Cassandra in Reverse by Holly Smale Nora Goes Off Script by Annabel Monaghan Every Summer After by Carley Fortune The Secret Bridesmaid by Katy Birchall The Restoration of Celia Fairchild by Marie Bostwick
This is OP. Thanks for the recommendations. I finished reading Every Summer After. Loved it.
