I wouldn’t want my daughters to do either of those things, but as a peon looking at photos in People magazine, I’m more offended by someone dressing for a White House State dinner like it’s an MTV awards show than I am by a couple’s large age difference.

As long as we’re talking about consenting adults, someone else’s romance isn’t my business, especially since I don’t even know them. However, a State dinner is a public, extremely formal event paid for by tax payers. Visitors to formal WH functions should show some respect.[/quote]
