Also, engineering major and then pivoting to med school will give you advantages.  If you can maintain a high gpa with engineering major, you will most likely do exceedingly well in med school.  Engineering majors are some of the most difficult undergrad majors, it teaches critical thinking and analysis. You can apply this to any job and employers know that[/quote]
In my opinion you need different skills set for engineering and medicine.  Engineering requires very little memorization and medicine is a lot of memorization followed by regurgitation.[/quote]

Smart kids can do both. I'm great at memorization, but you're right. I didn't have to use it much in engineering.
