We went and it was great! Mud, some drizzle but worth it! You just need to dress up adequately - No high heels or fancy dresses. Snack area was great - delicious food; truly didn’t expect something as good at such a mass event. Imagine if it was always possible to get such snacks while visiting entertainment parks, zoos. Egg sandwiches, tartes, meringuées, quinoa chocolate dessert. Music was too loud for my taste. It was crowded but didn’t feel overwhelming. Highly recommend!
I don’t recall snacks. Maybe this is a new edition. What kind of snacks?
They had a lot of food today. Two different snack areas with finger foods— little sandwiches, muffins, frittatas, custards (egg-heavy, being on theme). And a cute picnic area to sit and look at the monument! And then people giving candy away as we left.
I thought it was really well thought out to have running/kicking/gross motor skills right after the lines, then heavy snacks before entering, then the egg roll and festivities. Also smart to save the candy until people were on their way out. Very clever!
Agreed. It was a well-planned event. Kudos to the organizers.
