I talked to many parents at Field (like 6) and a few at SSFS. We ended up picking the latter and have found it a great place that has been able to push my kid where he can in a kind environment. We just love the teachers. Most of the folks I talked to at Field were happy there but the one common thing I heard was that it wasn’t particularly rigorous- on purpose and thoughtfully - and the slightly more Type A parents didn’t love that. I wouldn’t have minded a more chill academic dynamic - I just really was focused on a culture of kindness and that’s why we went with SSFS.
