Why are people wanting to see this? Beyond knowing 6 failed out of 600 in a class, what is conclusion being made from info? Is it that no kid should be failing or that doing better than expected if only 6 out of 600 fail? Or parents wanting to know how many As since most schools don’t do class rank anymore?
Why not? It's taxpayers' school. Taxpayers deserve full transparency; nothing should be kept hidden. If transparency were being properly practiced, such requests wouldn't even be necessary.
I don't recall our parents ever wanting this information. Focus on your kid. You already know how well a school is doing by searching online.
Quit telling other parents what they need to do. I'm sure there are different reasons anyway. We are at an SBG school that is copying a model developed for students in danger of not graduating in FCPS (principal's own words). The salesmen that go around helping schools implement this grading system tout research that has nothing to do with kids learning more but has everything to do with Bs and Cs for everyone. As go down in certain races and Ds and Fs go up in certain races. Given that my kids have teachers saying things like "a B or C is where they should be" at this school, I would like to know what is going on.
Ah so you are one of the grumpy Madison parents…
Stop picking on the Madison parent. Everything should be transparent.
