Homosexualism is not hereditary and is spontaneous.  That means that it can happen in any offspring without being genetically carried from generation to generation.  There are many traits and genetic disorders that continue to manifest spontaneously without any genetic factors and they do not seem to be evolutionary dead ends.  I think you need Genetics 101 to understand that your postulation above has no basis in fact.

One of the reasons that genes for homosexuality are adaptive is that they make both men and women promiscuous with males. The  mothers of male homosexuals have more sex and more children than mothers with only straight sons. The gene makes both women and men have more sex with guys. Even if if results in some male children who don't reproduce, the overall boost to reproduction in females means that it selected for, not against.

This is delicious!  Now there are homosexual genes and the other liberal "scientist" says it is a spontaneous trait!  So if it is a gene how yall scientists feel about the choice of aborting gay fetuses based on the gay gene!   Make sure your answer is scientific ![/quote]

It's hard to justify aborting babies for healthy, normal traits like gender or sexual orientation.   Since being gay is not a defect, and we are not going to practice eugenics, the answer is a big no.  And for the record, ethics not science answers moral questions.[/quote]
