Those "eco" people you want to bash are also concerned with the climate conditions that have gotten us here in the first place, so before you go making blanketly ignorant statements you might just want to think about that.
Humans have little affect and are too late to roll back climate changes, we need to adapt to the new norm.
There are ample scientific studies that you can read to prove your point false. If you are smart enough to comprehend them and/or not a slave to conservative ideology.
So which study says that we are supposed to fight against it as opposed to adapt to it?
You are a moron. It is possible to adapt but that does not mean you go all fatalistic and just say fuck it all. Again, do some research before you shoot off your big stupid mouth. Europe is light years ahead of us in sustainable practices, lowering C02 emissions and all kinds of other measures and there are tons of stories, studies and other materials that outline what they are doing. The US is one of the biggest polluters in the world and we all can, collectively, do something about it but not if stupid, ignorant, selfish people like you keep sticking your heads in the sand. Some us actually CARE about the world our children will inherit.
My question was not what Europe is doing but about the study (or argument) that it's more cost effective to lower the emissions as opposed to adapt lifestyle to rising temperatures and other changes. I am still waiting to hear that argument despite your unnecessary lenghty reply. And btw, I will be soon moving to Europe so if you have any questions about how they live there feel free to ask.
I'm sure Europe will be sooooo thrilled to have you. Not. How do you not get that this is not about what is "cost-effective?" Who gives a damn if we're saving money if sea level is rising? You think it's gonna be real cheap to fight back flooding in our coastal cities where the MAJORITY of Americans live? Or to deal with millions of refugees worldwide? I can see that your one of the uber right-wing individualists who don't care about anything or anyone but themselves. Check.
Umm, they offered me an extremely well paid job with unbelievable benefits, and they wouldn't do so unless they are thrilled to have me there (as they say). You are kind of dumb for a supposedly scientifically minded person. Yes, combating global warming needs to cost-effective, otherwise you are doing more harm than good (by definition). Cost-effective doesn't mean "cheap". Costs and benefits involved are not merely monetary. Etc etc.
