Yes this is very common and a lot of people just don’t say it out loud. I have a few divorced friends and yes it always starts out this way. The shock from the lower standard of living, the shock of not always having the kids, the jealousy of being single at events and parties and seeing married couples, the shock of needing to create a new social circle and social life. It takes a while to adjust. And tbh you will most likely meet someone and remarry in the next few years. [/quote]
