Does the quote say TCNA standards will be followed?  Does a homeowner know what that is or how to check? Who verifies thinset coverage?  Or even that then proper thinset was used? Who verifies the preslope is better than good and the vinyl corners are constructed or sealed properly?  Are they improperly mixing a schluter pan or shower seat with durock walls?  Did they lay floor tile directly on plywood?  If they used hardie was there a Thinset bed between the subfloor and hardie, screwed down to spec?

This is my concern as I need to renovate my master and hall bath on second floor (including moving plumbing and other structural work). Even GCs have sort of generic proposals. Who would you recommend for bathroom remodel? Are there specific kitchen and bath contractors? [/quote]

NP but rey Metropolitan Bath and Tile- the only do bathrooms. They have showrooms various places in the DMV. [/quote]
