The college essay guy (recommended by others) is a good source but don't over-analyze it. I think the essay guy goes into too much detail. Just pick a topic and write a good story that shows who you are. Does not need to be a lesson learned or have some profound meaning. Buy a good book about successful essays. There are a couple available for free online. Those give you an idea of what worked and you can write something along those lines. [/quote]
