PR, DR, for the really young set I don't think they care as long as they have water to swim in :) more at ages 7-9 it would be places you can see more stuff like wildlife - Palm Springs/Yosemite is amazing for a trip to the Living Zoo, the windmills and renting airbnb with a pool. Costa Rica to me a bit older at 10 and 12. Rafting, surfing, zip lines, etc. and then the MS set more Europe or adventures like to China/Asia, LatAm. I never understood why you'd take a 5 yr old to Paris unless you wanted to see Paris. My parents lugged me everywhere but I have zero recollection. My first taste of living travel was studying abroad at age 17. I'm not sure what people expect a 6 yr old to enjoy other than pretty much anything fun like a roller coaster, ice cream, beach/pool, wildlife :). We did a trip involving animals from age 5 with our kids from feeding giraffes by hand, swimming with dolphins. Whale watching, visiting with domesticated foxes and learning about them. Less cities. Less outdoor stuff more beaches and sometimes museums. A lot of resorts with kids clubs.
