I don’t necessarily think they are challenging. But I what I do believe is that women have accomplished so much on their own and are independent these days that very few men can enhance their lives. If they want kids? They don’t need a man for that. If they want us?plenty of horny men ready to answer the call. They don’t need money from men. They have their own houses/apartments/investments etc. Men need to account for this new reality.
This is a complete delusion. How many women under 35 make enough money on their own to get pregnant, pay for all childcare expenses, save for retirement, buy a nice house??? Top 1% of women yes. 99% of women no. Women don’t need men to have kids, they need men to pay for the kids. If they’re child free, different story. But child free isn’t a scalable lifestyle unless you want civilization to collapse.
Well, according to statistics, women under 30 were making more money than men in DMV area since 2019 https://www.wusa9.com/article/news/national/verify-yes-young-women-are-making-more-than-young-men-in-22-metros-including-dc-and-nyc-wage-george-washington-university-georgetown-pew-research-cent/65-8a4675cd-96e4-4f86-b380-7d0f2e9990f0 So for sure women of child bearing age are better positioned than men to provide for the kids
Women making more than men makes no difference on the ability to raise children if most single incomes aren’t enough to provide for a family. If women under 30 are making 50k and men under 30 are making 47k, neither are going to be supporting a family on their own without struggling.
But the reality is that women can and do have kids and start families without men. And women who can’t afford to do that aren’t going to marry a dud who is looking for an easy wife, just so she can have kids. Women who haven’t had kids yet are much more aware of the realities of being a wife and mom than women did before. So some women might still need another income to have kids, but being a mom isn’t nearly as desirable as it used to be.
