Actually, in Scandinavian countries where this infrastructure is provided by the government, women are in fact not complaining and are reporting the highest levels of happiness in the world. The fathers are true equals: take parental leave, etc. Marriage percentage is very low, as women prefer to stay unmarried to keep the benefits and the freedom to move on from a slacker man
Scandinavian countries can provide these services because their effective tax rates are vastly greater than those in the US. Men can also move on from slacker women without having to pay alimony, child support, etc. since the government provides basic services such as health care, housing, etc. This is a stronger argument since everyone pays the same amount of tax so their is less need for income balancing.
Women who are empty nesters in their 40-50s are incredibly self-sufficient. You take out the childcare of equation - they end up better positioned for retirement vs men. Men drink, engage in risky sexual behaviors, gamble, waste money on women etc. Women are driving charities, traveling, investing in self care etc.
Do you have any proof of this statement? For example, you can look on this board and find plenty of evidence that women drink, gamble, waste money, and engage in risky behaviors. They may do so to a smaller degree because testosterone tends to increase aggression, and aggression tends to lead to riskier behaviors. However, for items like retirement, women are often better positioned because they outlive their spouses who earned (at least in part) their retirement savings.
You can only be successful with dating women like that by being a truly equal, caring, communicative partner. Because in everything else she'll match. Just so not to be called a gold digger or a dinner whore
Women like what? For my generation (Boomers), men outearn women, and these women do not match the resources men their age have. Both men and women should be equal, caring, communicative partners. However, threatening men (which is what the post is indirectly doing) does not help anyone make a better life.
