So a separate thread says Banneker is already reaching out for interviews…tell me how the waiting until the last day doesn’t hurt kids?!?
You are insane. Banneker seems quite clearly to be reviewing complete applications and inviting kids to interview on a rolling basis. This is extremely normal and in no world does it "hurt" your kid. Stand down.
How is that “insane”? Child has 4.0 and is *still* waiting on a recommendation. Where does it say they’re contacting kids on a rolling basis? I guess I wait until midnight and then I won’t be insane??
Teachers waiting until the last day does not hurt your kid—that’s what people are trying to tell you. If your rec does not come in, that could be different. Even then, schools can overlook that because it happens to a lot of kids. But that’s not what you initially asked about. If your rec comes in, even just under the wire, just like hundreds of other kids, that does not hurt your kid. Your kid is not special in this scenario. No one is a victim here.
Why aren’t teachers given official time for this? Ridiculous what is expected of them.
