You guys are hilarious with your assumptions. DD is away at college and texted me what her friend said, we didn’t discuss or dissect anything. Anyway, why am I being disingenuous?

I'm going to have to assume that whoever called you cute did not actually have a conversation with you because you are so prickly and defensive that nothing about it comes off as cute.  Maybe enjoy the compliment on your appearance and hope they don't realize how sensitive you are.[/quote]
