My DS got into Indiana and UGA (and some others). Waiting on wisconsin, TX UMD UF Michigan. He doesn't plan to go to Indiana. Will do UGA if he doesn't get into others (Business) I know Kelley is so good- but I guess he wants the "whole package"
"Whole package" = "Better football team"? Or "warmer"? Because IU and UGA are remarkably similar schools in almost all respects...
Not sure. Indiana has an 82% acceptance rate. UGA was 25% OOS.
UGA has a stronger overall reputation than IU, and Terry is very well respected. IU may have higher rankings, but the right student will have good (or bad) outcomes at either place. UGA has better football. IU has marginally better basketball. Both great college towns, and UGA definitely wins for weather.
It also depends on where/region you want to settle. If you look at the placement outcomes from the listed schools, you will see that they place most of their grads within the region where the school is located. If you want to settle in Atlanta, go to UGA, for Mid-Atlantic go to UMD, for Chicago/Midwest go to Kelley. My son has been pondering the same. He got into Biz at two of these schools and waiting for a couple more.
