Iran seems ready to fight us. Do they really have the upper hand?
Surely not
Do the NVA and VC really have the upper hand? Surely not. Do former Iraqi military turned insurgents reall have the hope hand? Surely not. Does the Taliban really have the upper hand? Surely not.
+as many as I can muster So many morons here think our many fancy weapons (maybe they’re just expensive?) will automatically carry the day. Fact is our warfare doctrines haven’t looked so good in an our last few outings. And Genocide Joe and others still have been reflexively escalating here against a much more sophisticated enemy!
Agree in part, the whole proportional response method needs to go. Responses need to make the enemy stop, if they don’t then the response needs to be sufficient to prevent any further action.
I don't know what Iran is up to. It's not a popular regime. But their proxy forces in Iraq, Syria, the Houthis, Hezbollah, and Hamas sure seem intent on creating mayhem in the region. Hopefully, the US can put a coalition together - Saudis, Egyptians, Jordanians, and the UK and knock it off with the the ticky tacky proportional responses and really hit hard. If Iranians and their proxy forces are killing US soldiers in Jordan, which should be a safe place, their forces in the region need to be wrecked - militias in Iraq, Syria, and the Houthis. Hezbollah is behaving more or less. And there is no chance anyone is getting involved with Hamas in Gaza. I doubt Iran itself would be struck. That would require serious planning and preparation for all contingencies. Will be interesting to see if another carrier group heads toward the region. But the Biden administration really does need to strike hard. We cannot have Iran killing US soldiers all over with impunity. That will continue to escalate until Iran experiences severe consequences.
Some of the IRGC leaders need to be taken out. Iran doesn't care if we strike proxy groups' weapons depots or locations. They need to be hit where it hurts. And, sanctions need to be put in place and ENFORCED. They are rolling in dough since Biden became president.
